California... Here we COOOOOOOOOME!!!!

I was invited to got to California with Jake and his family, which is such a blessing! I love being @ the beach, and I love spending time with Jake and his family. We leave today (Tuesday) after Jake gets off of work, so I am counting down the hours until we are on the road!!! I can't wait!!!

When you have best friends like mine... who needs anemones!!!

I got to spend a lot of time with my best friends, Kaela and Tori this weekend. Because of work and school, I am not fortunate enough to see them as much as I want to, so having this weekend really meant alot! What made it even more special is that Tori turned 21 on August 4th! Finally the trio is LEGAL! We celebrated her birthday two times. Saturday night consisted of dinner @ Rockin' Baja Lobster, which was so cool. The food was amazing and the bathrooms had all these little cute sayings painted on the walls. We spent a good amount of time taking pictures next to them. We then went to the Stratosphere and did the whole Stratosphere thing! Monday night then consisted of dancing @ Toby Keith's "I Love this Bar". We're not the crazy party girl type, but we love country music, we love Toby, and We LOVE dancing! This place was perfect for us! Tori got to go on stage with the band, and the whole place sang "Happy Birthday" to her... That was pretty special. These two girls are the perfect friends! I love them so much!!!

Pioneer Days!!!!

I went to Pioneer Days last weekend with Jake and his family. It was an awesome time!!! I got to see Tori, Jake, and thier Dad sing! I also got to see fireworks and eat lots of food, but Pioneer Days was more than just singing and food, it helped me learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and that was the best part!!!!

Panic At The Disco!!!

For my 21st birthday... which is on June 20th... my younger brother bought tickets to my favorite band's concert! PANIC AT THE DISCO!!!! So I took my sidekick... Jake! I had a blast... Jake... not so much. The four bands that performed weren't really Jake's type, but I wanted him there with me... and I wouldn't have wanted to go with anyone else. Phantom Planet, The Hush Sound, and Motion City Soundtrack opened up for Panic. It was a GREAT SHOW!! Thanks Jake, for enduring all that pain for my pleasure! You are a trooper!!

Zion 08'

So this past weekend my Uncle Lou invited Me and Jake to go camping with him and my brother and some of his work buddies @ Zion National Park in Utah! Me, Jake, and my brother drove up together, and got to Zion first... just to find out that they were all out of campsites! UH-OH!!! So we called my Uncle and he found another awesome campsite... Sandy Hollow State Park... it was about 45 minutes away from Zion. Sandy Hollow was gorgeous! It was a huge lake surrounded by sand... out there you can boat, jet ski, and 4-wheel! We pitched our tent then we went night swimming. It was windy, but worth it! The next morning, Saturday Morning, me, Jake and my bro decided to take a hike. Great view @ the top. Then when we finished that hike... we went to Zion! We did a hike there to the Weeping Rock... AMAZING! Zion is a fascinating place! After the hike... we went into the town and walked around the shops! I'm a girl... of course I had to shop!!! We went back to camp and swam and then ate dinner. After dinner, we hung out by the campfire and then went to bed! Sunday morning meant time to pack up! After we packed up, we went to St. George and me, my uncle Lou, my aunt Jen, Jake and my brother ate @ Cracker Barrel! Yummy in my tummy!!! After breakfast, Jake, my little bro, and I went to Mesquite. We swam in the river, ate @ McDonalds, then headed home!!! It was an amazing weekend!!!! I can't wait til' the next camping weekend!!!

Yes I'll wear your promise ring...

I am officially promised to a boy!!! My 1 year anniversary gift from this boy was a promise ring!!! It's so gorgeous! The perfect little band! I feel terrible, I only got him a wave board! :) Maybe next year... I'll do better!

Happy 1 year Anniversary, Jake!

On May 15th 2008, Jake and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary as boyfriend and girlfriend! A little over a year ago, Jake called me and told me he was coming down from Hollywood to visit. (He was attending film school at the time) At that time I hadn't seen or spoken to Jake in over a year. We were good friends in high school, and continued that friendship after graduation, but we had a special kind of friendship. We didn't have to see or speak to eachother on a regular basis to always know that for eachother, we would always be there. Jake was going through a rough time, and needed an old friend. Because of the kind of friendship we had, he knew he could count on me to be his shoulder, if he needed one. Who would have guessed that the old friend would become the new girlfriend. The first 6 months of our relationship was rocky, but we worked through it. Not only did it make our relationship stronger, it made our friendship that much more important. The last 6 months of our relationship have been a blast! We spend our time watching movies, hanging out, and eating Dippin' Dots ice cream, whenever we can! For our 1 yr, Jake took us to the top of the Stratosphere! It was so cool! I was a little nervous at first, but then it just ended up being the perfect place to celebrate such a happy occassion! I am truly blessed to have such an amazing person in my life! Happy 1 year, Love!!!

I cut it all off....

Well not me, Tonya did! I finally chopped my hair off! I've never had it any shorter than my shoulders. I am huge on needing enough hair for a ponytail, but about a month ago I told Tonya, let's do it! She was excited! She said she could tell that I was bored with my current look. I really was. I spent so much time dying it different colors, but that never satisfied my need for CHANGE! We cut a lot off... I have a little bob now... you kno... the bob that starts off shorter in the back and comes to a point in the front? YUP... that's what I DID! I am so in love with it! People tell me it makes me look older, which makes me happy, because I'm the only almost 21 year old that still gets mistaken for a middle school kid! Thanks Tonya, for cutting some hair off and adding some years!!!

Sorry it's been so long....

Since school has finally come to an end for this semester... I will be able to post on a regular basis! I ended this semester with 3 A's and 1 B, thanks a lot Mr. Music Appreciation! I am so excited for summer! I am in desperate need for a break! Less school means more work which means more money, and more money means... it's time for a VACATION! I really want to visit California, again! I love it out there, so much! I will be posting blogs after this one that seem a little out of order, but it's just to catch up! :)

Back from the Happiest Place on Earth...

For my Christmas gift, my thoughtful and amazing boyfriend, Jake, decided that he would be taking me and his daughter, Ali, to DISNEYLAND!!!! He made me an awesome video asking to me to go, and it really wasn't hard for me to decide! DUH!!! I had never even been to California. I knew this was going to be an amazing vacation. So we decided February 7th would be the perfect time to go. The anticipation drove us insane!!!! Everyday just seemed to drag and drag. We started planning, with the help of his amazing mommy, what we were going to exactly do about 2 weeks before we left. Disneyland, California Adventures, Hollywood, and Huntington Beach! I was so stoked! I couldn't wait to be out of Vegas! Then we thought that the more people that came with us, the merrier this trip would be! That's when Cody and Tori (Jake's younger brother and sister) jumped on board! Then he called his sister, Mandy, who lives in San Diego, and her and her husband Taylor and their boys, Derek and Dylan would be @ Disneyland too! I was thrilled! So finally the 7th was here, and we had planned on leaving @ exactly 3pm, but that didn't really work out. We were off @ 4:45pm! Not too bad. I don't remember much of the drive there, because I slept most of the way there. Everyone besides, Jake, slept most of the way there. We arrived in Anahiem @ around 9ish. We are so happy to be out of that car! We got to stay at the Grand Californian... it was the prettiest hotel I had ever seen! We all were pretty tired, but Jake wanted me to see Hollywood @ night. So, Cody, Tori, and Ali went to sleep... (well we thought Ali was sleeping... hehe) Me and Jake were off to Hollywood! I was so excited to go there. Jake lived and went to school out there for months, so I was excited to see what he surrounded with, and I must admit it was beautiful and scary all at the same time. I got to see a lot of cool stuff! I saw the stars and the Kodak Theatre and the Roosevelt Hotel and were Jake used to live and go to school and Big Wangs and the hands and feet at Grauman's Chinese Theatre. It was so so so so so cool!

We went back to the hotel to get some shut eye, cause we needed to rest for DISNEYLAND!!!!! We all woke up pretty early, not as early as we had hoped, but we all really needed our rest. We got dressed and then headed down stairs to the Happiest Place on Earth!!! Before we left I went out on the balcony to check out our view in the day time from our room, and we had the perfect view of the Hollywood Tower of Terror. It was the ride I had been dying to go on! I felt 6 years old again. I was so hyper and chipper and giddy.I just wanted to hurry up and get there and have the time stop forever. We finally get there... and the flashes on the camera went non-stop! I've never taken so many pictures in my life. I was so excited. It was such a goegeous place. We met up with Mandy, Taylor, and the boys. Rented strollers and were off!!! We rode Dumbo, Snow White, Pinocchio, Pirates of the Carribean, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, the Matterhorn, Indiana Jones, and The Haunted Mansion. I loved Space Mountain and Splash Mountain were my favorite. Tori got soaked!!!! It was hilarious! :) I was very excited to find out that my two best friends were at Disneyland too. Tori Farris and Kaela Andriaccio! I got to see them too. Kaela was in California auditioning for characters at Disneyland! Not only did I get to see my best friends, but I also got to meet some really cool characters. I met Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Cinderella, and Woody! I know... WOODY! I beleive Toy Story is the best Disney movie ever, so I was so happy that I got to meet Woody... himself! Ali was excited to meet Mickey Mouse! She recognized him the moment she saw him, and wasn't even scared.

After we ate, we headed over to California Adventures! WHAT A BLAST! We rode some of the coolest rides there, like the Monsters Inc, California Screamin, Soarin' California, and the Tower of Terror! Holy Crap! I could live on the Tower of Terror, especially if I was riding the ride with Taylor, Jake, and Cody. They're hilarious! I laughed the whole entire time! Screaming my head off with Mandy and Tori on California Screamin' was a lot of fun too. I knew my throat was going to hurt bad the next day. Unfortuantely... these parks actually close. So we all left. It was heartbreaking. I didn't want to leave! I had such an awesome time hanging out with Mandy, Taylor, and the boys!
We went to dinner at this really neat pizza place and watched the fireworks. It was time for bed, and everyone was good and ready. Me and Jake went out for dessert, and intended on walking around Downtown Disney, but were way too pooped! So we went back to the hotel room and CRASHED!

The next day meant chill-axing in Hollywood and HUNTINGTON BEACH!!! I was so excited, cause that meant, Beverly Hills, The Hills, and Rodeo Drive too! We checked out and headed out. we went to Citywalk @ Universal Studios and did some shopping. There was an Abercrombie and Fitch there!!! I was in heaven! We then headed out to Hollywood... It gave Jake a chance to show Cody and Tori where he lived and went to school, and gave me a chance to realize that Hollywood in the day time was just as crazy as Hollywood @ night! After walking Hollywood Blvd, we jumped in the car and got lost in Beverly Hills... literally, for like an hr! Jake didn't plan on letting me see Rodeo Dr, but we luckily got lost right into Rodeo Dr. HOLY MOLY! Every car that was parked was either a Lambo or a Benz or Porshe! We even almost got hit by a Rolce Royce! WHAT! That would have not been good... you know.., for my Yaris! After being lost in the good ole' 90210... we were ready for some beach action!!! We got to Huntington Beach right as the sun was setting! It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen! I was so excited to be in such a gorgeous setting! We checked into the most amazing hotel ever! I was stunned! It was right on the beach!!!! The view from our room was to die for! We all were pretty hungry, so we went and had dinner @ TK burger, well me and Tori had Dairy Queens. We walked back to the hotel room, and Ali and Tori, and Cody went to sleep, while me and Jake walked the pier at night time. The weather was perfect, the people were perfect, it was just perfect! We went to Starbucks and got coffee, and just relaxed. After that we went back to the hotel room and fell asleep. We woke up nice and early the next day and went to breakfast at Fred's, well lunch @ Fred's. Hehe... Fred's was great. They had the best salsa I had ever eaten, and Jake had a pretty funny run-in with a chilli pepper. We all got a good laugh! After lunch we went SHOPPING! Huntington Beach has some of the best shops I have ever shopped in! It was fantastic!!! After shopping, we headed out to the beach! Everyone made it clear that no one wanted to go directly into the water, but then again, we were @ the beach with Jake! So we were all head deep into the water in no time, but it was so much fun. The weather was gorgeous. The water, on the other hand, was freezing! You think Jake cared? NOPE! Ali, Me, Tori, and Cody all made it into the ocean. We played in the sand, and got all gritty and dirty. Jake ate some sand, and I made my "I love Jake" hearts. I'm such a girl... I know!!!! :) After we all played around... we cleaned up... got in the car and headed home! I don't know about Cody and Tori, but me and Ali pretty much slept the whole way home.... I was so sad to leave! Well I actually do know what Cody was doing... hehe!!! I had such an amazing time. It was the greatest vacation of all time! I'm such a lucky girl. I haven't stopped smiling ever since we came home! I am counting down the minutes until I'm back!
